We love choosing themes for our food drives!
Did you know that 12.6 % of Midland County residents and 47.2 % of households with single mothers with children under 5 live below poverty level? 27.3% of Midland County students qualify for free or reduced Lunch fees! Under-nourished children are more likely to get sick, recover from illness more slowly and require hospitalization more often. They experience more headaches, stomach aches, colds, ear infections, and fatigue.
In an effort to reduce the number of hungry residents, our office is sponsoring our 3rd annual food drive for the Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network the whole month of April. We want to help make a difference in Midland County and you can help! We hope that you will consider donating non-perishable food, personal hygiene products, or cash. As a “little incentive”, everyone that donates, will have their name entered into a drawing for a summer gift bag! Donations may be dropped off at 555 W. Wackerly Street, Suite 3600.
Be “Instrumental” in helping to “Wipe Out” hunger & we’ll be “Dancing in the Street”!
